If we believe a lie…

March 4, 2007

I came across this quote yesterday. The topic of truth and knowing that I am learning truth is really important to me so this quote gave me cause to really stop and think.

“We will never demonstrate love or have solid character if our faith isn’t in the right place. The building block of faith affects the deepest part of who we are and what we do. If we believe a lie, then everything that shows up in our life will be out of sorts because it is linked to something false. We can’t do anything without first thinking or believing it, which means that all of our actions come from our thoughts.” (Free by Neil T. Anderson and Dave Park)

This devotional book calls out lies we are to reject. It is humbling to realize how many lies we might be believing, and how great the impact might be. It makes me very thankful for a forgiving God.
